Performing Arts Curriculum Intent

At Benfield we have an approach to Performing Arts which aims to help children develop physically, emotionally and socially, ensuring this is inclusive for ALL. It places the individual learners at the heart of practice with the ultimate goal of our students feeling valued, included, challenged and supported in their learning. We ensure that our students have the opportunity to discover and develop their  potential by providing a broad range of activities.

Here at Benfield we focus on encouraging students to enjoy Performing Arts, have fun, be active for a sustained period of time and lead healthy, active lives. We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum ensuring this is stimulating and innovative to ensure students become lifelong performers as well as develop character and confidence through our Performing Arts approach.

BTEC Drama allows you to explore a range of roles within the Performing Arts industry with the main focus being on Drama. You will be expected to take part in the school productions and attend extra-curricular clubs and workshops both in and out of school to support you with your assessments. The course has a range of practical and theoretical elements involved and you will be expected to commit to a range of roles on offer.
